25th September 2017 marked the inauguration of the three day Green Hope Programme at Laurels School International. The campaign began with young salvites taking an oath to guide their colleagues and community about environmental concerns and issues. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Gunwant Joshi, retired Chief Chemist of Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board. In his address to the students Dr. Joshi narrated popular fables and linked them to environmental degradation caused due to human greed.

The programme began with a small cultural presentation that included song presentations and a mime act, highlighting the significance of environmental conservation. Gracing the occasion today,  were Ms. Jennifer Chacko school director , Dr. Anshu Deshmukh  Principal and Vice Principal Ms. Thara Nair.

The Green Hope Programme took birth 12 years ago under the guidance and support of School directors Dr. John M. Chacko and Mrs. Jaya Chacko. The three day schedule includes many activities like sapling distribution, planting trees and public interaction.
